RAISING EMOTIONALLY RESILIENT KIDS (AGES 5–18)

Children do not learn emotional regulation by being told to calm down. They learn through connection, co-regulation, feeling seen, and experiencing safety within their relationships.

This parent and child session is designed to strengthen the bond between caregiver and child while building the foundation for emotional resilience, healthy attachment, and nervous system regulation.

Using a somatic and trauma-informed approach, Peggy guides both parent and child through age-appropriate practices that help create greater emotional awareness, communication, and connection. Together, you'll learn practical tools that can be used at home during moments of stress, anxiety, overwhelm, emotional outbursts, conflict, or transitions.

THIS SESSION MAY SUPPORT CHILDREN WHO EXPERIENCE:

• Anxiety or excessive worry
• Emotional overwhelm or big feelings
• Difficulty calming after becoming upset
• School-related stress
• Friendship challenges
• Separation anxiety
• Sensory sensitivity
• Low self-confidence

• Challenges with emotional expression

PARENTS WILL LEARN HOW TO:

• Co-regulate instead of react
• Support emotional regulation in real time
• Understand nervous system states and stress responses
• Create emotional safety and trust
• Strengthen communication and connection
• Respond to challenging behaviors with greater awareness
• Build resilience through daily regulation practices
• Increase their own capacity to remain grounded and present

CHILDREN WILL LEARN HOW TO:

• Identify emotions and body sensations
• Understand what their nervous system is communicating
• Use simple tools to regulate stress and anxiety
• Express feelings in healthy ways
• Build confidence, self-awareness, and emotional resilience
• Develop a stronger connection to themselves and their caregiver

Each session is tailored to the unique needs of your family and may include somatic awareness practices, movement, grounding techniques, breathwork, mindfulness, emotional mapping, nervous system education, and co-regulation exercises.

The goal is not perfect behavior.

The goal is helping children feel safe in their bodies, understood in their emotions, and supported through life's challenges while empowering parents with practical tools they can carry into everyday life.
